About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

Introducing the Nepean Adolescent Mental Health Unit (NAHMU), a fresh, purpose built 10-bed facility dedicated to supporting adolescents aged 12 to 17 who are navigating complex and severe mental health challenges. This state-of-the-art inpatient unit is the newest chapter in the Child, Youth and Family Mental Health (CYFMH) story, expanding its reach to provide compassionate, specialised care from the earliest stages of life through to young adulthood. NAHMU isn’t just a place of healing, it’s a vital step forward in empowering young people and their families with the support they need, when they need it most.

Join the Nepean Adolescent Mental Health Unit (NAMHU) as a Clinical Support Officer (CSO) and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care for young people. Working alongside nurses, medical staff, and allied health professionals, you will provide essential administrative and transactional services that keep the unit running smoothly, with shift times tailored to the needs of the young people admitted and the service’s operational requirements.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will collaborate closely with the ward clerk and senior administration officers, complementing established systems and processes while ensuring timely and accurate support for the healthcare team. While working under broad supervision, you will also have the opportunity to take initiative, applying established practices with independence and confidence to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

This dynamic role may extend beyond NAMHU, providing CSO functions across the wider Nepean Mental Health Service or supporting multiple wards as part of the CSO team. If you are ready to contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused environment and make a meaningful impact in adolescent mental health care, we invite you to apply today.
