What you'll be doing
The Administration Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Network Managers and staff of the Clinical Governance Unit (CGU) across the SCHN campuses.

The position is also responsible for, minute taking and assisting with the preparation of meeting papers, frontline triaging of complaints, the maintenance of related databases, and calendar management of the Network Head, office management, and administrative management of deceased patients.

Please note that throughout the recruitment process you will be assessed with the following: 

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills, being able to deal with difficult people and situations.
  2. Excellent understanding of and use of MS Office systems.
  3. Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated skills in office management including the ability to prioritise numerous and competing tasks, maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and in a multidisciplinary team.
  5. The ability to be able to triage and manage issues as they arise and a basic understanding of complaints management.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Governance issues.
  7. Medical terminology experience.
  8. Able to demonstrate behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, including qualities such as integrity, warmth, friendliness and enthusiasm

  3. What is your understanding of the complaints management process within a clinical governance framework? Specifically, how do you see the role of administration officer in ensuring complaints are handled effectively, and what steps would you take to support the complainant and staff?
