We are looking for Technical Specialists, to support the implementation of ICT hardware, software and peripheral devices deployments associated with the implementation of a State-wide Laboratory Information Management System (SW LIMS).

What you'll be doing

As part of Fusion Program, the Technical Specialist will work under the direction of the Technology Architect to support the implementation of ICT hardware, software and peripheral devices deployments associated with the implementation of a Statewide Laboratory Information Management System (SW LIMS).
 
Fusion is a comprehensive program of work that aims to standardise, streamline and integrate pathology services over the next five years.

  1. Demonstrated experience and expertise in the core technologies common in diagnostic pathology setting, including the implementation and support of server/workstation operating system, basic networking, desktop PC and peripherals hardware installs and support, and systems monitoring tools.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Information Technology or demonstrated experience and expertise supporting technology systems.
  3. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain detailed documentation.
  4. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate as required.
  5. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
  6. High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain and recommend solutions to non-technical people.
  7. Candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  8. Candidates must have a current driver’s license and are flexible to travel to different sites as required.
