Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Plumber to join our Maintenance team, supporting essential health services at Gosford and Woy Woy Hospitals.

In this vital role, you will report to the Leading Hand Plumber and Maintenance Manager, and be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of plumbing and hydraulic systems across hospital facilities. Your work will help minimise disruptions to patient care and support the smooth operation of clinical services.

About the Opportunity

Deliver day-to-day plumbing, drainage, and gasfitting services across CCLHD facilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hydraulic systems to ensure ongoing reliability and compliance
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and coordinate the ordering and replacement of required components
  • Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, Building Codes, and relevant health regulations
  • Maintain, test, and commission Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) and Backflow Prevention devices in accordance with licensing requirements
  • Accurately complete and update all maintenance records using the AFM system
  • Contribute to the delivery of efficient, cost-effective, and compliant plumbing services across all CCLHD sites
  • Participate in team-based projects, upgrades, and system improvement initiatives, promoting innovation and service excellence

About You

  • Qualified Plumber with current NSW Plumbing, Drainage & Gasfitting Contractor Licence or Qualified Supervisor Certificate.
  • Certification in TMV and Backflow Prevention.
  • Valid NSW Driver’s Licence and White Card.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and patient-focused service
