The opportunity

The Senior Manager Respect at Work is a newly established role that will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive and contemporary processes, operating procedures and strategies designed to prevent and manage inappropriate sex-based behaviour and sexual discrimination at NSW Ambulance.

Reporting to the Executive Director, People & Culture key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of specialist Investigators to deliver best practice, trauma-informed case management
  • Overseeing complex, sensitive complaints related to sex-based behaviours and ensure compliance with all legal and policy requirements
  • Designing and implementing forward-thinking strategies that prevent and address inappropriate workplace conduct
  • Providing expert guidance to senior leaders with the view of shaping culture through fit-for-purpose programs and frameworks
  • Drive performance, system improvements and long-term culture change through ethical leadership and collaboration

About you

Our ideal candidate is a values-driven and influential leader with proven experience leading Respect at Work practices and the provision of a trauma informed, victim centred approach towards sexual harassment and discrimination. They will bring:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in complex investigations, with a focus on respectful workplace culture
  • Deep knowledge of relevant legislation, complaints management, and compliance standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead specialist teams and drive culture change across large organisations
  • Sound judgement and experience managing complex, sensitive matters in high-pressure settings
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative, people-first approach
