Where you'll be working
You will join the Adult Mental Health Unit within Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, recovery-focused care to adults experiencing mental health challenges.
What you'll be doing
Provide high level Social Work service to consumer’s carers and families to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with the districts and professional policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation and Code of Conduct.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Please outline your experience in providing social work assessment and intervention to adults experiencing mental health concerns, including your skills in assessment, counselling, crisis management, advocacy, referral and discharge planning.
- Do you meet the qualification requirements for appointment as a Social Worker Level 3 under the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award, including a recognised Social Work qualification and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)?
- Describe how you demonstrate advanced clinical practice when working with complex consumers, carers and families, including your ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with external services.
