Social Worker
An opportunity has become available for a temporary full-time Social Worker to join the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Social Work Department. The position will be situated in the hospital rehabilitation wards working with a very supportive group of Social Workers. Prior experience working in a rehab setting would be advantageous.

What you'll be doing
Provide a high quality Social Work service to consumers, carers and families to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
