What you'll be doing
The Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting the operational delivery of Clinical Trials Pharmacy services at Royal North Shore Hospital. Under the authorisation of the Director of Pharmacy, the role ensures that investigational medicinal products (IMPs) are managed in accordance with legislative requirements, NSW Health Policy Directives, trial protocols, and hospital procedures.
- Must hold appropriate qualification as per the Health Employees' (State) Award for a Pharmacy Technician Grade 3 - (Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy support (HLT40507) or equivalent qualification).
- Demonstrated relevant pharmacy technician experience and competency in performing complex pharmacy technical tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist within specialist areas of practice, including clinical trials pharmacy operations and pharmacy information systems management, and where applicable sterile production or cytotoxic drug handling.
- Recent experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably with clinical trials support or as a senior pharmacy technician.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and provide supervision and support to staff.
