Occupational Therapist Level 4 Burns Casual. This isn’t just another casual position. You’ll step into a specialised environment where your burns expertise will make an immediate difference. You’ll work alongside a highly skilled Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT), yet have the autonomy to lead clinical decision-making across complex burns presentations—both inpatient and outpatient. Where you'll be working
A unique clinical opportunity as an Occupational Therapist within a specialised burns service with statewide reach. You will be located at Royal North Shore Hospital St Leonards in the Statewide Burns Unit within the Occupational Therapy Burns Team and be a part of the wider OT Dept.
What you'll be doing
Exposure to a diverse and stimulating caseload spanning inpatients and outpatients in the RNSH Severe Burns Unit.
The chance to provide essential cover during periods of leave and caseload surges.
Work within a passionate and skilled team comprising a Level 4, Level 3, and Level 1/2 OT.
Be part of a wider MDT where your expertise is valued, respected, and central to patient outcomes.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Recent, extensive and varied post-graduate clinical experience as a level 2 Occupational Therapist or above.
- Extensive experience in tailoring verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external service providers. Demonstrated proficient computer literacy and ability to confidently use health information systems.
- Extended skills and specialised knowledge in the provision of current clinical Occupational Therapy practice in burns. Ability to take responsibility for the delivery of evidence-based practice for consumers, carers and families.
- Proven ability to work autonomously. With confidence, has the ability to prioritise work, manage conflicting demand, monitor individual performance, problem solve and utilise independent professional judgement.
