Patient and Family Experience Unit (PFEU), Royal North Shore Hospital

What you'll be doing
The Administration Officer will manage the provision of accurate, timely and efficient high level administrative and customer support to the department, to support the achievement of the department’s set goals.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:    

 

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Describe your experience coordinating and prioritising multiple enquiries, complaints or feedback within an administrative role in a busy service environment. Include the level of complexity involved.
  3. This position is subject to NSW Health employment requirements under the Health Employees Administrative Staff (State) Award. Please confirm that you are able to meet the essential requirements of the role, including appropriate use of electronic information systems (such as eMR, Content Manager, and IMS+), and compliance with NSW Health confidentiality obligations and Codes of Conduct.
  4. Describe a time you responded to a telephone call with a highly distressed person. What were your priorities, and how did you manage the situation?
  5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
