Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital (HKH) Executive Unit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Administration Officer to join the team in the role of Executive Assistant to the Director Nursing and Midwifery. The position is being offered on a full time, permanent basis.

Where you'll be working
Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai Hospital provides quality health care to the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai area, a community which stretches from the Hawkesbury River to Roseville, east to St Ives and west to Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, and Epping. HKHS is part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District. As a respected provider of care since 1933, more than 1500 staff members care for over a quarter of a million people living in the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai area. 

What you'll be doing
The Executive Administration Officer provides executive support to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery at Hornsby Hospital and co-ordinates administrative functions within the Executive unit.

The role ensures the smooth functioning of the diverse administration requirements of the Executive unit including executive correspondence and support for facility management, finances, planning and project management.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Highly professional phone manner and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Well-developed computer skills including accurate data entry skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  5. Ability to be self-motivated with good time management skills.
  6. Demonstrated flexibility with work duties and location.
