The program is for those consumers who are likely to show substantial clinical improvement during their admission. Consumers have access to drug and alcohol, individual and group counselling and Hospital Rehabilitation Program Areas for educational, social vocational activities.
The Stepping Stones program was opened as part of the Ministry of Health Homelessness and Vulnerable Persons projects and has 8 beds within 2 cottages of the Figtree Unit. The program offers an intensive inpatient rehabilitation for people with mental illness experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
