Where you'll be working
 
This position is located at the Mona Vale Centre of Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service, and covers the Pittwater Ward, and parts of Narrabeen, Frenchs Forest and Curl Curl Wards of Northern Beaches LGAs.

What you'll be doing
NSHNS is a generalist Community Nursing service visiting clients in their own homes and in clinic environments for a range of care including comprehensive assessment, referrals on to other services and specialists depending on client need; medication administration (oral, parenteral, topical etc), wound management – acute, simple to complex including compression therapy, NPWT, pressure injury management, conservative sharp wound debridement and vascular profiling etc; palliative care through to EOL care and verification of death, syringe driver management, respiratory/heart failure monitoring, IDC/SPC changes and support, continence assessments, CVAD care and more.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Registered Nurse –Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); and Current NSW Drivers Licence.
  2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and a diverse range of health and non-health care providers.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, patient safety, quality of care and team cohesion.
  4. Sound experience using electronic medical record systems and office applications, and evidence of personal time management capabilities and effective negotiation skills.
