Salary per hour:
Health Professionals (Level 3): $56.69 - $58.52

Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2): $57.11 - $58.99

Clinical Psychologist: $55.10 - $67.16

What you'll be doing

The Northern Beaches Child and Youth Mental Health Service (NB CYMHS) is a community mental health team providing a comprehensive range of specialist assessment and clinical interventions to children and young people experiencing severe and complex mental health difficulties through a range of individual, family-based and group therapy programs. This position is an opportunity to be a part of a team that is passionate and driven while simultaneously being provided with opportunities for skill building, attendance at training and the provision of high-level supervision. The position is full of variety and challenges while working within a supportive and collaborative working environment.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing and registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW for Social Workers. Clinical Psychologists must have a minimum postgraduate Masters or higher in Clinical Psychology. For Social Work, experience as a Level 2 clinician. Occupational Therapist must have experience as a Level 2 clinician. Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 must have relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
  2. Relevant clinical mental health experience in a community setting which includes working with children and/or adolescents and their families.
  3. Demonstrated comprehensive training/qualifications and experience in providing treatment for children and adolescents affected by mental health problems, their families/carers and broader system of care through evidenced-based individual, group and parent-focused therapies such as CBT, DBT, attachment–based therapies and family therapy.
  4. Computer literacy and demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound administrative methods.
