Chronic Pain Liaison Clinical Nurse Consultant

1. Registered Nurse with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum seven years full time post graduate experience with 5 years full time equivalent in the specialty field. In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification and/or Masters level relevant to the specialty or evidence of working towards same in identified area of specialty.
2. Experience providing support for chronic pain patients undergoing procedural interventions including neuro ablative procedures and intrathecal infusions.
3. Familiarity with intrathecal medication management, including baclofen and analgesics.
4. Demonstrated involvement in ethics approved clinically relevant research and Quality Improvement activities related to procedural pain interventions.
5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
6. High level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
7. Demonstrated understanding of the role of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for pain self-management.
