Child Youth Mental Health Services Clinical Nurse Consultant
- Registered with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum five years full time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in the specialty field. In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.
- Demonstrable high level clinical experience and leadership, competency and expertise in child and youth mental health nursing including experience in provision of triage, risk and broader psychosocial assessment and management of children, young people and their families where the young person has an acute OR severe and complex mental health problem
- Demonstrable leadership skills and experiences as acting as mentor and providing consultancy support to nurses and other health professionals and clinical supervision
- Demonstrable experience and ability to initiate and lead evidence based nursing clinical practice development and a commitment to the concept of continuous Quality Improvement Programmes
