- Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably with experience in promoting healthy lifestyles at a population level.
- Well-developed problem solving skills (the ability to assess situations and processes and act to achieve results), with proven ability to prioritise when working on a number of projects at the same time in a demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain community, government and non-government partnerships and negotiating to build the capacity of other organisations to promote healthy lifestyles.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills including skills in use of common computer packages preferably Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, social media and some desktop publishing skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in community development and population based promotion and social marketing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in health promotion planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current health promotion theory and evidence based practice.
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
