About the role

NNSW LHD Community Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 (CNC2) IPARVAN to provide an advanced level nursing service as an expert in the violence, abuse and neglect field and facilitates linkages and relationships with Local Health District nurses/midwives and medical officers to support patient management.

 
Providing assessment, care planning and review of patients in collaboration with the primary service providers to consultancy ensure that evidence based practice is utilised in a 24/7 service, including the provision of sexual assault forensic examination.
 
Responsible for expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership and services within the violence, abuse and neglect field within the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
 
Drawing on their expert clinical experience and knowledge of best practice to contribute to the ongoing development and review of the IPARVAN medical and forensic service’s clinical practice and processes, including initiating, developing, implementing and evaluating annual plans for the service and development and provision of specialist clinical education.
