Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking a Computer Services Team Leader to supervise and support our Infrastructure Systems, End-Point Compute and Desktop Support teams. This role combines team leadership with the opportunity to step in and conduct technical work across operational and project environments when required.
As the Computer Services Team Leader you will lead and support a team of technical specialists responsible for infrastructure, desktop, and endpoint services that underpin both clinical and corporate operations. This hands-on role includes delivering business as usual support and contributing to project implementations when required. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving service excellence, fostering continuous improvement, and applying pragmatic problem solving approaches.
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience in leading ICT teams within complex environments, along with strong technical capabilities across infrastructure, desktop, and endpoint services. You will thrive in fast paced settings and be comfortable switching between people leadership and direct technical delivery. What you will bring to the role
- Proven ability to foster a positive team culture, drive accountability and align team performance with organisational goals, supported by experience mentoring staff, managing change and promoting collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Extensive experience in a senior ICT support role with strong leadership and technical skills (Office 365, Intune, SCCM, Windows 11, Server 2019+).
- Proven ability to establish productive stakeholder and vendor relationships, lead and inspire teams, and deliver outcomes aligned with strategic objectives and KPIs.
- Highly developed analytical skills with the demonstrated capacity to interpret complex issues, conduct trend analysis, and identify underlying problems. Proven ability to approach challenges with creativity and develop effective, evidence-based solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and management of work schedules, resource planning tools, and action tracking mechanisms. Proven capability in utilising the ServiceNow platform for task allocation and delivery of ICT services within an ITIL framework.
- Proven leadership and management experience, including oversight of third-party suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of support, consultancy, and assistance across both business-as-usual operations and project environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading and contributing to endpoint and server architecture design workshops, delivering innovative technical solutions tailored to the healthcare environment. Proven strength in analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, and effective incident management.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation, conveying complex concepts clearly through both verbal and written communication. Skilled in engaging internal and external teams, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
