An exciting Permanent Full Time opportunity has become available within District Information Management Team based at Station Street Penrith. The responsibilities of this position underpin linkage of patient data for continuity, safety and quality of care, communication with internal and external service providers, and the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR).
The Senior Analyst role is integral to the effective implementation of the district's Data Governance Framework. The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and data stewardship of the Client Characteristics and Individual Service Provider (ISP) registration data streams.
The role leads the unique identification of clients across the district, develops policies and procedures in relation to Client and ISP registration, and monitors the quality of the data inputs by establishing data quality processes to ensure compliance with the MoH reporting requirements.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated highly developed knowledge and understanding of data captured in the major health data source systems used in NSW Health, local and state-wide downstream applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Ministry of Health Client and ISP Data Collections policy, governance and application, including an understanding of the business and activity being reflected in the client and ISP data collections, data capture systems, data standards, data flows, quality and reporting requirements.
- Skills/experience in providing leadership and direction to staff, including managing people to achieve team/unit goals.
- Demonstrated initiative and drive with the ability be flexible and responsive, train and motivate staff, work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, exercise initiative and judgement, and maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, demonstrated capacity to interpret information, assess data quality, system and process issues, report risks, and implement solutions to ensure data integrity across a large organisation.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, presentation and collaboration skills with an ability to lead diverse groups, influence key stakeholders and negotiate resolution of complex issues.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, facilitation, prioritisation and organisation skills to communicate with people confidently and courteously at all levels and manage high workload to meet organisational objectives and timeframes.
- Proficiency in MS Office software (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with demonstrated capacity to organise and present information in a clear, logical and systematic way. Knowledge of SQL and/or MS Access is desirable.
