An exciting Temporary Part Time position working Wednesday - Friday has become available within the District Clinical Governance Unit. 

The successful incumbent will be responsible for comprehensive administrative support to the Feedback & Complaints Office for Nepean Hospital. The Feedback and Complaints Office is complex and challenging. This role plays a proactive and integral part in ensuring that administrative responsibilities are undertaken in an efficient, professional and timely manner. The Administrative Officer is most often the first point of contact for complainants and therefore plays a key role in the complaints management process.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in providing high level administrative assistance and support to a busy Feedback & Complaints Office including a proven capacity to operate effectively in a complex environment demanding confidentiality, flexibility and discernment.
  2. Experience in managing or dealing with emotionally-charged or vulnerable people and or difficult situations.
  3. High level organisational and time management skills with an ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, demonstrate flexibility and show initiative.
  4. Exceptional interpersonal skills including sound oral and written communication with exceptional customer service knowledge.
  5. Proven high level of organisational skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise workload and meet deadlines supported by a demonstrated capacity to exercise initiative and judgment, including the demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  6. Advanced proficiency in preparing various documentation (memorandums, agendas, minutes, letters, internal briefings, reports, etc.) using Microsoft office suite of applications.
  7. Have a good understanding of the complaints management process and policy directive.
  8. Experience using HPRM, ims+ and iPM or similar programs for electronic records management, incident management and patient administration systems.
