Registered Nurse

What you will bring to the role

1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in mental health nursing as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse) and demonstrated skills in aged care mental health nursing.
3. Demonstrated capacity to provide and effective recovery focused, trauma informed mental health nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive, to older person accessing mental health services.
4. Demonstrated effective communication skills including written and verbal, have a knowledge of de-escalation skills and have problem solving skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work in a busy ward setting.
6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
7. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening and / or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
