The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering safe consumer care, carrying out clinical activities in alignment with individualised nursing care plans and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You will work confidently within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse, ensuring that every action reflects the highest standards of service and clinical integrity. Your contribution will extend to the accurate collection and maintenance of health care information and documentation, supporting continuity of care and informed clinical decision‑making.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration Division 2 (without notation) - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience and demonstrated skill in mental health nursing
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide recovery focused and trauma informed person centred care that is family inclusive and culturally sensitive
- Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements
