We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Educator to provide expert Clinical Leadership and Education across the Orthopaedics, Vascular and Plastics specialties. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about professional development, evidence based practice, and improving patient outcomes through high-quality education and support.

The Clinical Nurse Educator will work collaboratively with Nursing and Multidisciplinary teams to build capability, support safe clinical practice, and contribute to a positive learning culture. This role will see you provide Clinical Eucation, Training and support to Nursing staff across Orthopaedics, Vascular and Plastics, support orientation, competency development, and ongoing professional education programs, promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement and act as a clinical resource and role model for best practice Nursing care.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  2. Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
  3. Demonstrated behaviors and attitudes that align with NSW Health's organisation's CORE values of; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, when interacting with staff, patients, consumers, and carers.
  4. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward/unit level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and the maintenance of a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
  6. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, feedback and conflict resolution.
  7. Demonstrated ability to motivate, support and engage people in the clinical setting and work professionally in a multidisciplinary team.
  8. Evidence of computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and record management systems.
