The Senior Project Officer, Key Health Worker Accommodation contributes to the direction, management and implementation of NSW Health’s Key Health Worker Accommodation program. The role will work closely with other NSW Health Entities and Government agencies on key health worker accommodation related matters, providing advice on planning, procurement strategies and program delivery.

The KHWA program seeks to enhance workforce attraction and retention to improve access to care, particularly in regional, rural and remote communities.

 

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location - 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing and preparing key health worker accommodation project programmes, presentations, budgets and forward estimates, monitor and report on progress and expenditure against the program, and initiate of remedial action where deviation occurs, to ensure delivery and operation in accordance with agreed key worker accommodation Business Case.
  • Supporting geographically dispersed project stakeholders to achieve the delivery of project outcomes.
  • Supporting the implementation of key worker accommodation strategy, support Whole of Government procurement strategies and drive efficiencies.
  • Coordinating the implementation of operational systems, asset management practices and workflows to ensure key worker accommodation optimisation.
  • Preparing submissions, reports and correspondence to ensure briefs and other documentation accords with the Health and Government guidelines.


About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated professional experience preferably gained in project management, asset and property management, financial or other related fields.
  • Extensive experience in the planning, development and management of residential dwellings to include acquisition, refurbishment, build and procurement of modular accommodation.
  • Sound knowledge of the industry processes and practices associated with delivery of major housing projects.
