About this role
You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW.

The Policy and Project Officer supports strategic and operational projects to achieve NSW Health’s objectives relating to State-level emergency management. This involves assisting in reviewing and updating emergency management policies and supporting the State Preparedness and Response Unit in planning, preparing, responding to and recovering from a range of hazards that impact the NSW Health system. The role may be required to provide out-of-hours work to best meet situational requirements.

Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $106,025 - $117,363 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing 

  • Coordinate and implement a range of activities and support the unit management to deliver key strategic projects.
  • Maintain systems to monitor and manage incidents across NSW Health.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, coordinate working groups and perform secretariat function for meetings to support stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare and review policy advice and project activities to ensure alignment with strategic directions.
  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
