About the role

As a Finance Officer, you will support the Senior Analyst and Principal Financial Analyst in delivering high-quality financial accounting within an ERP Fusion environment. In this role, you will prepare financial statements, maintain grant registers, and review contracts to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards. You will manage and reconcile intrahealth transactions, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate variances across P&L and balance sheet accounts. You will also contribute to project-based and ad hoc financial initiatives, playing a key role in ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting.
Crown Clerk 5/6, starting salary from $99,938 - $110,271 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing
- Manage and reconcile intrahealth transactions daily, ensuring timely clearance
- Maintain grant register and review contracts for compliance with accounting standards
- Review grant-related transactions to ensure accurate account recognition
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with strong attention to detail and investigate any of unusual items
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to support audit processes, including preparation of documentation and responding to queries
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners, HealthShare and other relevant stakeholders to provide accurate financial data and explain variances
- Perform gatekeeping for key accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to policies and delegations
- Assisting in preparation of financial statements and related note disclosures
- Assisting Senior Analyst and Principal Financial Analyst in preparation of Adhoc reports and requests to ensure all deliverables are met
- Assisting user acceptance testing (UAT) for system upgrades, ensuring functionality, accuracy, and smooth implementation.
