This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact financial and policy decisions within NSW Health. As a Finance Analyst, you will support the development of funding proposals and major initiatives that directly influence the State Budget and health outcomes across NSW. You will work closely with senior analysts and a wide range of stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. The role offers strong exposure to complex financial modelling, policy costings, and funding methodologies. You will also contribute to improving financial processes and supporting organisational priorities. This is an ideal role for someone looking to build their career in a strategic, fast-paced government finance environment.
Crown Clerk Grade 7/8, starting salary from $113,574 - $125,720 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing
- Support the development of Cabinet submissions and funding proposals, particularly during the State Budget process.
- Provide financial and economic analysis to support policy development, costings, and funding methodologies.
- Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, and presentations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Engage with stakeholders across NSW Health and external agencies to provide financial and budgetary advice.
- Contribute to process improvements and provide analytical support to inform decision-making.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in financial analysis, modelling, or supporting business cases and policy proposals
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to prepare written advice
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
- The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
