Location for this vacancy is negotiable between Lismore, Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie 
What you'll be doing
To ensure the provision of efficient and effective immunisation services in the Northern area of the North Coast by providing timely clinical advice and support to vaccine providers, parents/guardians, clients and the community.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).  

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

AN ELIGIBILITY LIST FROM THIS RECRUITMENT ACTIVITY MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE VACANCIES

  1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications with at least 5 years full time experience in the relevant field
  2. Authorised Nurse Immuniser with skills, knowledge and ability related to immunisation service provision and development of procedure and strategies aimed at maximizing and increasing immunisation uptake.
  3. Demonstrated evidence of leading research and making a contribution to nursing / midwifery science
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to implement change and practice development across a multidisciplinary team and a range of stakeholders using current evidence and research
  5. Demonstrated evidence of leading and managing complex projects relating to significant practice change for the organisation
  6. Evidence of significant contribution to the direction of clinical nursing education within the specialty and experience in the provision of education to peers, clients and other service providers
  7. Competency in the use of computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and outlook.
  8. Current NSW driver's license and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
