About the Role
We are seeking an Aboriginal Liaison Nurse who will practice and promote safe, efficient and culturally appropriate nursing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a Cancer diagnosis that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures. You will identify health and wellbeing needs, provide support and referrals, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and promote positive patient outcomes.
About You
You are a Registered Nurse who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, with relevant clinical experience in an outpatient and/or acute setting. You have strong communication and problem-solving skills, a sound understanding of Aboriginal culture and social and emotional wellbeing, and the ability to work effectively within a team to deliver patient-centred, culturally safe care.
