Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
- Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated sound time management and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines within defined resources ensuring targets are met
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a high performing team with the ability to motivate and coordinate staff
- Highly competent computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (eg word processing, data management systems and spreadsheets)
- Current Drivers Licence and ability to travel as required

Demonstrated high level experience, competency and extensive recent clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM & ACHI with a thorough understanding of the Australian Coding Standards and a high level understanding of casemix, DRGs and Activity Based Management models and their application the health system

Experience and demonstrated ability to lead, conduct, measure, validate and sustain coding quality improvement activities in relation to clinical coded data, including coding audits, error correction, analysis and presentation of results
