Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, part of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Orthopaedic Surgery. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality surgical care in a regional setting, working with a dedicated and multidisciplinary team.
What you'll be doing
• Provide expert orthopaedic surgical services to patients at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and teaching activities.
• Support junior medical staff through supervision and education.

Selection Criteria
- Holds registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Orthopaedic surgeon, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways as recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated significant experience in the relevant specialty.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
- Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and MLHD Values, goals and strategies.
