About the role:

The Pharmacy Intern position is a 12-month training position in which a Pharmacy graduate from either the Bachelor or Masters course (or equivalent qualification) gains the necessary skills and experience to satisfy the requirements for registration as a pharmacist in Australia.

As the Intern Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Provision of a clinical pharmacy service in accordance with the SHPA Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Services.

  • Participate in Ward rounds with clinical pharmacists, undertaking medication reconciliation on admission and transfers of care.

  • Attending orientation, training and staff meetings as required

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. Successful attainment of an Australian recognised Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy Degree.

  2. Excellent knowledge of pharmacology and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical situations.

  3. Ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a team.
