You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within Health System Support Group (HSSG) and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.

About this role


The Enterprise Data Warehouse for Analysis, Reporting and Decision support (EDWARD) will be the source of truth for the business information required to underpin the Ministry of Health's System Manager role including purchasing, performance support, performance management, funding, planning, internal reporting, public reporting, and research.


The Test Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all testing activities, including test planning, test execution, and reporting, while providing leadership, guidance, and support to the testing team to ensure quality and successful delivery.

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and / or extensive work experience as an IT Test Manager, with a focus on Data Warehouse projects.
  2. Extensive knowledge and experience in defining and managing software testing processes, including automated test management tools, testing strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  3. Extensive experience with ETL testing, advanced SQL skills and proficient in Database administration with proven ability to validate data integrity, perform complex queries, and support data warehouse testing initiatives.
  4. Proven experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex challenges, perform root cause analysis, and provide effective solutions.
  6. Demonstrated experience in change management, risk and issue management, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  7. Flexible and adaptable to changes in resource availability, time constraints, and competing demands, while maintaining a solutions-focused approach to monitoring and evaluation activities.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues and solutions clearly and concisely.
