While Royal Hospital for Women offers a wide range of services, including maternity, neonatal care and gynaecology.
Our Pharmacy Team plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy as part of their holistic care. SESLHD Pharmacy Services is an extended hours service and our team is operational seven days per-week.
What you'll be doing
The Specialist Pharmacist, Pharmacy Operations is a specialist clinical role.
The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across The Prince of Wales Hospital and The Royal Hospital for Women and affiliated services for the defined specialty area of pharmacy operations and medicines related automation/technology.
All Specialist Pharmacist roles are integral members of the Prince of Wales Hospital and The Royal Hospital for Women pharmacy team to provide specialist clinical knowledge and skills for the pharmacy service. The position will work closely with Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions, to maintain comprehensive pharmacy service across all operational hours.

Selection Criteria
- Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience.
- Demonstrate a higher level of performance in clinical pharmacy practices in pharmacy operations and medicines related automation/technology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, team building, influencing, conflict resolution and the building of a positive workplace culture.
- Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving and development and implementation of initiatives.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
