John Hunter Hospital is seeking a professional Security Officer to join our industry team to provide to provide 24-hour security ensuring the safety and protection of staff, patients, visitors and government high value assets. 


About the role:
Key responsibilities include attending alarms and code blacks, conducting regular rounds across our 89-hectare campus, and engaging proactively with staff, visitors, and patients. You will be equipped with necessary resources such as uniforms and radios during your shifts, facilitating seamless communication and operational effectiveness. 


About you:
We are looking for a security officer who is ultra-reliable, very professional, and physically fit. You will be supported with ongoing operational training and will be assessed regularly against local and district guidelines and policies. You will be assigned to a senior officer during your training phase and will be given opportunities to progress your career through a number of different pathways.

Candidates must hold a current NSW Security Licence 1A, possess a Senior First Aid Certificate, and hold a Certificate II in Security Operations. A Class C NSW driver's licence and the ability to work on a 24/7 roster are essential requirements for this role.
