Radiation Therapist Level 2 - St George Hospital, Kogarah

The Role
- To work effectively as a member of a team in delivering and planning radiation treatments.
- To assist as required in efficient management of the team.
- To participate in professional development and quality assurance activities.
- Deliver ionising radiation treatments according to prescription and instruction specifications to ensure accurate dose administration.
- Evaluate the physical condition of patients being treated and advise medical and/or nursing staff of changes which may influence treatment results or consequences.
- Plan courses of radiation treatment (from Simulation to dosimetry and production of treatment accessories) according to prescription and ensuring optimal dose distribution within the target volume and in surrounding sensitive/critical tissue.

- Demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Radiotherapy planning and treatment techniques and principles.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance QA and accurate documentation in radiotherapy practice.
- Current EPA licence
- Current AHPRA registration.
