The Role
The position is responsible for the operational delivery of a Physiotherapy service to patients within NSW Correctional Centres. It involves supporting the Operations Manager Primary Care - Clinical in the planning of the Physiotherapy Service and includes the Clinical, Strategic and Financial management of the service.
The position also involves the provision and supervision of treatment programs to both admitted and non-admitted patients, liaising with other Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (the Network) staff members in regard to patient management, supervising staff and students and participating in relevant policy and decision making groups.
The position will also liaise closely with Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) and collaborate with other Area Health Services to ensure continuity of care for patients in accordance with evidence based best practice models of care.
