About the Opportunity
Are you hardworking and enthusiastic? Are you good at multi-tasking and willing to integrate to be the pharmacy point of contact for a clinical service?

The Campbelltown Hospital Pharmacy Service has an exciting opportunity for multiple Grade 1/2 Pharmacists to join the team on a 12 months contract, with potential opportunities to extend the contract (at same/reduced hours). See our amazing new facility and department and be part of our change. 

We are seeking enthusiastic Pharmacists with a “can-do” attitude and a solid work ethic, who have experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting. These positions require a proven knowledge of therapeutics, as well as excellent organisational and problem-solving skills to help optimise medication management for patients and carers. This role would suit pharmacists who have an inquiring mind and are keen to further improve their clinical expertise.

These will be rotational positions and you will work with clinical leads to develop and deliver clinical services to specialist areas to ensure the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines. 


What you'll be doing
Provision of a wide range of Pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients of the hospital, including dispensing, distribution and manufacturing services as well as clinical services. Promotion of both safety and quality as key aspects of drug therapy. Participation in quality improvement and professional development, as well contribution to education and supervision of other staff and students.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff, and patients and carers.
  3. Experience in the provision of clinical Pharmacy services preferably in a hospital setting consistent with the Standards of Practice of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia.
  4. Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and experience in applying that knowledge appropriately to clinical settings.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.
  6. Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and to supervise the activities of support staff.
  7. Proven organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise according to Organisational needs.
  8. Demonstrated understanding and application of quality improvement methodology.
