South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is seeking an innovative and forward-thinking District Digital Health Radiology Information Systems Manager and Picture Archiving and Communications Manager (RIS PACS Manager) to lead this strategic inaugural role.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an experienced professional with:

  • A strong background in Medical Imaging, Digital Health, or other Clinical Disciplines with experience working in Imaging Services.
  • Expertise in managing RIS and PACS systems, particularly the Sectra PACS platform, is highly desirable.
  • A passion for driving digital transformation in healthcare and improving clinical outcomes.

 

 

What You'll be Doing
To provide operational management of the enterprise PACS/RIS system which services medical imaging departments across SWSLHD, ensuring the solution operates in accordance with the accepted professional practices, standards, and policies of SWSLHD Medical Imaging.
 
Responsible for the integrity, maintenance, support, and administration of the SWSLHD PACS/RIS system and other integrated Medical Imaging systems to ensure a high level of availability for mission critical medical imaging services.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification Medical Radiation Science Degree, Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent experience in Digital Health.
  2. Can you explain your experience managing RIS and PACS systems, particularly the Sectra PACS platform? How have you ensured system efficiency, security, and reliability? What steps do you take to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in RIS or PACS systems?
  3. How have you used digital health technologies to improve workflows in medical imaging or other clinical services? What trends or advancements in digital health do you see as most relevant to medical imaging services?
  4. How do you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, IT professionals, and administrative staff, to implement and maintain RIS/PACS systems?  Share an example of how you successfully communicated complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. How do you manage a flexible working environment while ensuring team productivity and operational success? Share an example of how you fostered a culture of collaboration and innovation within your team.
  6. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
