An exciting opportunity exists to join an established Child Youth Mental Health Services Outreach (CYMHS) team providing intensive case management and interventions for young people who experience serious mental health issues. Working in a multidisciplinary team with both young people and families to in a recovery and trauma informed model of care.

Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2): $2,107.10 - $2,176.30 

Clinical Psychologist: $2,022.92 - $2,465.63 

Allied Health Professionals Level 3: $2,081.22 - $2,148.66

Where you'll be working
The Outreach Support for Children and Adolescents (OSCA )team service the entire local health district; with these positions primarily being based at Hornsby Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.

What you'll be doing

You will join an established Child Youth Mental Health Services Outreach team providing intensive case management and interventions for young people who experience serious mental health issues. Working in a multidisciplinary team with both young people and families to in a recovery and trauma informed model of care. OSCA provides a comprehensive range of assessment and treatments for children and adolescents affected by complex mental health problems, or experiencing significant emotional and behavioural problems.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.

 Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Recognised Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership to  AASW for Social Workers. Occupational Therapist and Social Workers require minimum experience at Level 2. Clinical Psychologists require a Master's Degree or higher in Clinical Psychology. Clinical Nurse Specialist requires post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.
  3. Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in working systemically with young children and adolescents with mental health problems, their families and their system of care and support, including individual and family intervention.
  4. Demonstrated capacity for multi-disciplinary teamwork and capacity to contribute to team learning and development including support for students.
