About the role:
The Occupational Therapy service at John Hunter Children's Hospital provides inpatient services to children admitted to general medical and surgical wards, oncology, adolescents, neonatal intensive care unit and paediatric intensive care. Outpatient services are provided for children referred to the Occupational Therapy service or through multidisciplinary specialty clinics. 

This Level 1/2 Occupational Therapy position provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to administer assessment and intervention for children who are both inpatients and outpatients of the John Hunter Children's Hospital, with a particular focus on orthopaedic and surgical interventions. The successful candidate will be supported in their role by the occupational therapy team, allied health teams and medical and nursing staff with which they will regularly interact. This is a temporary 10-month maternity leave contract commencing March 2025 for completion in January 2026.
