Your Experience

We are currently looking for a qualified health care professional with:

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in health management OR working towards these qualifications OR a combination of study and work experience.

 

Our Role

The NUM2 position provides leadership and manage the delivery of health care services for all patients admitted to Wellington Correctional Centre. The position is an integral part of nursing administration and has responsibility and accountability for planning, development, implementation and evaluation of health services for patients and for overseeing the delivery of those services.

This includes the co-ordination and monitoring of service provision and implementing and monitoring activity relating to service planning and development and policy development.

This position is required to interface effectively with other managers and service directors within the Network and Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) custodial and program staff. The position holder will work within Justice Health and NSW Health policies, procedures and guidelines as well as CSNSW rules and regulations as set out in the relevant legislation.

 

Our Location

Wellington Correctional Centre is contained within the Wellington Correctional Centre (adjacent to Macquarie Correctional Centre). It houses maximum-security offenders and is located 7 km from the Wellington town centre.
