What you'll be doing
The techniques and instrumentation used in the laboratory include liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis, UV spectroscopy, colorimetry and tissue culture methods.
- Bachelor of science (BSc) degree in biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent as a major subject.
- Experience with laboratory methods including mass spectrometry
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for work in a diagnostic laboratory.
- Demonstrated interest in the field of human genetics.
- Computing skills including MS Office applications and PathNet laboratory information system.
- Enthusiasm and versatility in scientific problem-solving.
