The role will work with and support to SWSLHD staff enhance delivery of culturally responsive care to the people of South West Sydney.
What You'll be Doing
The Multicultural Learning and Collaboration Program Manager is primarily responsible for the rollout of SWSLHD's cultural competency training program Working in Culturally Diverse Contexts. This includes the coordination, facilitation, evaluation and reporting on learning outcomes for all staff. The position works closely with key stakeholders in the development of strategies to support workforce enhancement, continuous quality improvement and the overall development of a culturally responsive and safe health service for patients, parents, carers, families, visitors, staff and volunteers. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing the ability of all staff across SWSLHD to improve service delivery through positive changes to practice, particularly when interacting with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds such as work colleagues, patients and visitors.

- Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of education and learning programs for a range of delivery modes, with a specific focus on those that build cultural understanding and competence.
- Strong connection to and understanding of the historical and social issues impacting on contemporary health outcomes and health education priorities for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people and demonstrated understanding of issues faced by CALD communities in the southwestern Sydney region
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation, mediation, consultation, and communication skills, with proven experience to strategically engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve strategic goals, manage multi-faceted projects, meet tight deadlines, and produce quality work with strong focus on attention to detail with high level analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
