We are seeking an experienced Peer Worker with excellent communication skills, extensive knowledge of the mental health service system and an interest in service development and innovation to join the team as a Peer Navigator working the in EDAU.

Selection Criteria: 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Relevant qualifications in Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or relevant equivalent lived experience to support others in their own mental health recovery journey.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of personal/lived experience as a consumer of Mental Health Services and demonstrated ability to utilise the lived experience to support others in their own mental health recovery journey in a Consumer Peer Worker Role.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to clinical care planning processes in a team setting within allocated timeframe
  4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders for the Peer workforce and consumer participation.
  5. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to contribute to strategic service planning and policy development for the Peer workforce and consumer participation.
  6. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to meet current and emerging business needs.
  7. Current drivers’ licence or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
  8. Demonstrated ability to determine priorities and manage tasks to achieve work objectives within the multidisciplinary team.
