What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it. Provide expert advice and services on all facets of sterile supply department to facilities across the Randwick Hospital Campus partners and the Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital. 

The role has a specific focus on the provision of a range of planning, co-ordinating, leading and managing human, financial, material and capital resources to provide cost effective, quality service that meets key performance indicators and financial accountabilities of the Sterile Supply Service across the Randwick Hospitals Campus and Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital.  The position is also responsible for ensuring that the service is delivered in compliance with relevant standards.
  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in management or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience including significant experience in operational management of sterilising services in an acute hospital setting.
  2. Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in management including financial, human resource and organisational management.
  3. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach.
  4. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders utilising highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  6. Comprehensive, up to date knowledge of sterilising technology processes, standards and statutory requirements including knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & EQuIP.
  7. Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
  8. Computer Literary with Microsoft Office applications, Human Resource management applications and computerised rostering systems.
