An exciting temporary opportunity exists for an experienced Mental Health Clinician to lead and coordinate the Pathways to Community Living Initiative (PCLI) program and team, helping mental health consumers in our community on their journey to recovery.
 
The Program Manager for the Pathways to Community Living Initiative (PCLI) is a senior position responsible for managing and coordinating the implementation of the PCLI for SESLHD Mental Health and for liaising and working in collaboration with the state-wide Mental Health PCLI initiative.

This includes overall local program management, reporting and monitoring including assisting with the reporting to the Ministry of Health, Mental Health Branch and close liaison with state-wide Mental Health PCLI project leads, developing and maintaining strong partnerships with a range of key stakeholders. These partnerships will include local clinicians and managers, primary care, Community Managed Organisations (CMO’s), Local Health District primary and secondary health services and the Ministry of Health, Mental Health Branch.

Selection Criteria: 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health related discipline or project management qualifications applicable to the role and/or relevant work experience.
  2. Experience in the mental health care sector, with demonstrated ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams and to influence other health professionals.
  3. Demonstrated high level knowledge and ability to manage successful outcomes in complex projects across a broad range of workforce planning, clinical education and reform initiatives.
  4. Experience in delivery of projects within timeframes and budget, demonstrated effective organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  5. Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including consultation, facilitation, negotiation, reports and briefs writing.
  6. Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative advice to senior management on a range of complex workforce planning, clinical education and reform issues.
  7. Demonstrated ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices, including workplace culture and ethical behaviour.
  8. Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
