About our team:
Get My Assistive Technology (GMAT) is an exciting new project funded by Ministry of Health to implement an ICT system in all NSW Health LHD Equipment Loan Pool (ELP) operational sites. For HNE, this will be facilitating the rollout of GMAT at the Hunter Equipment Service (HES) based at Wallsend and the New England Equipment Service (NEES) based at Tamworth. This is a great opportunity to utilise your existing clinical skills and knowledge of HNE equipment processes whilst learning / enhancing your skills in project management with the support of the HNE Clinical Quality and Improvement Coordinator based at the Allied Health Directorate.


About the role:
This position may be split into two part-time positions with 0.5FTE based at HES at Wallsend and 0.5FTE based at NEES at Tamworth. Your work will include storeroom organisation, inventory management, barcoding, ICT system installation and establishment of reporting suites for HNE. It will also include a range of administrating and training to embed the GMAT system into HNE ELP operations


About you:
The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge in existing HNE ELP processes including knowledge of frequently used equipment.  They will be confident communicators and negotiators and be able to work independently to proactively achieve key project deadlines. They will have strong organisational skills to manage a complex workload with competing priorities.


Support in your role:
The work will be undertaken predominantly independently at HES and/or NEES with support from the HNE Clinical Quality and Improvement Coordinator based at the Allied Health Directorate. Regular meetings will be scheduled with key stakeholders to support the project officer with additional supervision and support provided as required.
