Are you passionate about enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of older adults? The Eastern Suburbs Older Persons Mental Health Service at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Diversional Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. As a Diversional Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in delivering recovery-focused diversional therapy programs on an 8-bedded inpatient ward and engaging with community-based initiatives to support consumers.

Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Hold a recognised health science or applied science bachelor's degree in leisure, recreation or diversional therapy recognised by the Diversional Therapy Association of Australian National Council, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Demonstrated core competency skills and experience in using a variety of diversional therapy techniques and media with older people.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with clients to enhance service delivery.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
- Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
